I am grateful to Andean-Peruvian educator professor, Lilly LePelch PhD, who joyfully translated the content of this book into Spanish with such care and precision, making it available to a whole bilingual/multilingual audience.

As a translator, she captured the spirit and message of the book, maintaining its flow, emotion, and integrity.

Lilly LePelch, PhD is an adjunct professor at George Mason University (GMU) in the College of Education and Human Development in the Elementary and Secondary Education programs. She teaches courses related to literacy research, teaching culturally and linguistically diverse learners, bilingual and language acquisition research.

Dr. LePelch’s doctoral degree is from GMU, specializing in literacy and international education. She is passionate about the education of culturally and linguistically diverse learners focusing on research of intercultural practices that celebrate human diversity in education. Dr. LePelch is a vocal advocate for immigrant and minority populations. Currently, she is a world languages department chair at a public high school in Northern Virginia. She was born in Peru.
